GOAL 0, THE RESET

Hello, WORLD! This whole blog has been hard to write in the first place but this post is by far the hardest. The whole goal of this SW101 blog is to document the most important goals I want to accomplish & how I go about completing them. Hopefully, my determination to complete them will motivate others to follow make goals & do the same. This post is about me eating crow, one of the only things I don't like eating. I have to reset this blog as well as my goals. Why? I got a few reasons:

1) The feedback: For the most part, people have been motivating me to complete these goals as much as my own determination is pushing me to complete them. The feedback hasn't had all positive vibes though. A few were tips that I will try to incorporate including the main issue that I have heard: building a little suspense. Duly noted.

2) Completed a goal? Prove it!: Some of the feedback I received had to do with how I can prove if I did this or not. Some of these goals, like getting to the top of the Sears Tower, are easily proven with pics. Some, like getting my tattoo covered up or biking the drive, can even by videoed. But some of the main ones I want to accomplish, like getting out of debt & watching my three youngest kids graduate, would be hard to photo, record on video, or even complete in a quick enough time to make this blog actually work.

3) Me, myself: As I said in my last blog post before this one, I got waaay more than just 101 goals. Thinking about some of the others, as well as the feedback from the first 101 run, some would make a way more interesting posts plus would probably be more fun to complete.

4) My REAL #1 Goal: I can't believe that I made this list with listing my #1 goal since I can remember. I still can't post it here because there is no way I can prove I've done it & even if I do succeed, I probably won't be alive to accomplish it. And that goal is.................. to be announced in the next post. Suspenseful enough? Told ya I'm learning, WORLD!! DUECES!!!!  

Goal 102: ???????????????

Hello, WORLD! Smokkee Singleton here. I know probably you're going "Hey!! This blog is dedicated to you completing 101 Goals but this post's title is Goal 102. What gives?" Well, all of that is true. This is SMOKKEE'S WORLD 101 after all. With that said, based on the feedback I've gotten so far, there's a few things I need y'all to understand. This a blog about 101 goals that I've made for myself but don't think I've only got 101 goals. I got a million plus goals to be honest with you and I'll probably have more than that by the end of the year. There are a few very specific goals that I've gotten that I haven't listed on here because there is no way I can prove that I've accomplished them so they couldn't make the list. Just bec ause I haven't listed them doesn't mean they're any less of importance than the ones that are listed. I want to do a documentary on Chicago's rap music history. That's one of the more important ones that may get accomplished before a lot of the ones listed are. Well that's really all I wanted to add, WORLD. The next posts you'll see from this blog will be when I fill like I've completed a goal. You'll definitely be the first to know.

GOAL 101: TURN THIS BLOG INTO A BOOK

If I actually do complete 50 goals, ranging from simple to "well, I KNOW that took some working getting accomplished!", what kinda of inspirational value do you think this achievement would be? Yeah, my sentiments exactly. If I complete 50 goals, this blog will be in book form at a bookstore or on a Kindle near you. I promise, WORLD!

I know, WORLD. A lot of y'all reading this probably thinking I'm just talking to talk. You know how I know this? One of my buddies checked oout my list a few days ago & said "I think you're only gonna do 4-5 of these & quit!" Funny part is he was dead ass serious. I'mma prove him, and you, both wrong! 50 is the half way mark but it's the second to last goal on this list. 100 down, 1 to go and that 1 is...........

Goals 98 & 99 is to start 2 not for profit organizations dedictated to help children in the city of Chicago (at first) to honor both my mother (Goal 98: THE JEANETTE SINGLETON-THOMAS FOUNDATION) as well as my father & his father (GOAL 99: THE HARDY-STOKES FOUNDATION).

I've adopted a Black Heart as my symbol. Don't ask why: Black love, man. Anyway, I want a ring to reflect this. I'mma design a ring with a white gold band with a heart made of onyx in the center of it's platinum face. This will be the ring I want my heirs to pass along to their heirs & so forth.

Trying to hurry up now. Goal 78: Get season tickets to my Chicago BULLS. Simple. Goal 79: Catch an NBA Finals series live. This wont be simple but hey, if I'm ever financial stable enough to do this, I'm doing this!

Goal 77: Start a Security Company

SEX! SEX! SEX! SEX! I bet I got your attention now, right? We'll outta all my 101 Goals, I did have one that was sexually related and I was gonna put it in here but why? I KNOW I'mma accomplish that anyway (LBVS!!!) so why not keep this list on some positive stuff? Like our kids. Chicago needs to tighten up on the safety of it's citizens. If I start a security company, I'll be doing my part. Simple as that. 

Goals 75 & 76: Net Worth $100,000.00 / $1,000,000

The game of Life is simple: Who ever dies with the most money wins! It's an old joke but it's an honest old joke. Goals 75 & 76 is to have a net worth of $100,000.00 & $1,000,000.00 respectively. Simple as that but I don't think this goal is simple at all. May be the hardest goals on this list.. 

GOAL 74: GET A CONVERTIBLE

WORLD, I need a car! Leaving in Chicago doesn't demand that though but it makes life a hell of a lot easier. At this point, I don't care what car I get before the end of this year; I know I'm getting one! Eventually though, I want the car I want. I want a convertible! A Chevy 64 is my goal but any convertible would do me!

Goal 73: MAMA's!!

I'm almost done! Whew!! What's MAMA's? Well right now, my family does this thing where we make dinners on Friday's & deliver them in the Downtown Chi area during the lunch our. We've been doing this for years. I want to take this to the next step. Instead of us delivering, why not open up a restaurant instead and name it after my favorite people in the WORLD? Simple as that!

In the last post, I told yall I don't like being a quitter. I also said I used to rap. What happened with that? I felt I got too old to do it. I still can amaze with my freestyles & most of the stuff I got written could pass as if I wrote it today, even though some songs are 20+ years old! Yeah, I been rapping for a long ass time! So, just to say that all of that time I spent doing it wasn't wasted, I MUST drop an album, even if it's just for my piece of mind. That's Goal 69. Now, I would still feel like I completed this goal if I record a comedy album. 9 outta 9, I would throw a rap track on there as a bonus cut or something. So that's Goal 70.
